ISIS NYONG’O ACCEPTS AN ADVISORY ROLE FOR AFRICA CONFERENCE ON VOLUNTEER ACTION FOR PEACE AND DEVELOPMENT

We are pleased to announce Ms. Isis Nyong’o the Vice President & Managing Director, Africa for InMobi, the world’s largest independent mobile advertising network. Ms. Nyong’o has accepted an advisory role with the communication strategy for the Africa Conference on Volunteer Action for Peace and Development (ACVAPD).

She was very delighted and stated, “I am very pleased to be a part of the ACVAPD team and share my contributions in this platform.”

Isis has ten years of experience in media and technology in Africa, having previously worked at Google, MTV and Kenya’s first online job site, MyJobsEye. While working in business development at Google she specialized in mobile partnerships and developed the company’s content strategy for Africa.

She was part of the founding team of MTV Networks Africa where she was responsible for the network’s commercial strategy. Isis holds degrees from Stanford University and Harvard Business School where she was president of the Africa Business Club.

Isis Nyong’o has been named as one of the ‘Top 40 Women under 40′ in Kenya, the Forbes Top 20 Youngest Power Women in Africa as well as IT News Africa’s Top 10 Women in ICT.  She serves on the boards of the Africa Cancer Foundation and The Mango Tree.

Last but not least, Ms. Nyong’o was named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2012.
